Internet Retailer this June will award the first-ever Internet Retailer Excellence Awards, recognizing the outstanding achievements of innovative e-retailers and brands.
The awards gala takes place in Chicago during the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition.
Internet Retailer is getting ready to celebrate the biggest innovators and success stories in e-retailing. Vertical Web Media, publisher and owner of Internet Retailer magazine, InternetRetailer.com and Top 500 Research, in June will host the 2015 Internet Retailer Excellence Awards to recognize achievements in e-commerce.
“We are creating the Internet Retailer Excellence Awards as an annual event in response to the growing role e-commerce plays in the global economy and because of the benefit that any major industry receives when it recognizes leading contributors whose outstanding achievements set a higher standard of performance for all competitors to aspire to,” says Jack Love, Internet Retailer publisher.
The awards ceremony will take place oearn the evening of June 3 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place hotel in Chicago, coinciding with the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) taking place June 2-5, 2015. With nearly 10,000 attendees in 2014, IRCE is the world’s largest trade show and conference devoted to e-commerce. Internet Retailer is the official media sponsor of IRCE.
Internet Retailer of the Year: An Internet Retailer Top 500 or Second 500 retailer that has demonstrated extraordinary performance in all aspects of e-commerce as measured by sales, marketing and customer satisfaction metrics.
Global E-Retailer of the Year: An e-retailer that sells online internationally, based on performance and growth across markets.
Web Redesign of the Year: An e-retailer that has shown a major improvement in its appeal, functionality and customer friendliness, aiming to meet the future requirements of online retailing.
Comeback Retailer of the Year: An Internet Retailer Top 500 or Second 500 retailer showing the greatest growth after a period of stagnation or declining sales.
Newcomer of the Year: An e-retailer that grew its business dramatically to land its first-time ranking among the Internet Retailer Top 500 or Second 500.
E-Retail Growth Award: A merchant that has appeared among the Internet Retailer Top 500 or Second 500 for at least two years with the highest growth in the current year.
Marketer of the Year: An Internet Retailer Top 500 or Second 500 retailer that has most effectively used all forms of online marketing to achieve above-average sales growth in its merchandise category.
Video of the Year: A retail video with high entertainment and promotional value that resulted in higher sales and a high level of viral distribution and awareness.
Mobile Commerce Retailer of the Year: A retailer that has shown the greatest creativity, performance and sales growth for a mobile web site and/or mobile app.
B2B E-Commerce Retailer of the Year: A manufacturer, wholesaler or distributor that has most effectively used a B2B e-commerce site to increase sales to business customers.
