NetSuite - Magento Connector - Video - Configuration 2

So under here, I’m basically telling Magento “Your demo custom size is mapped to a NetSuite custom field 23, and the custom color is mapped to NetSuite custom field 24.” And then the rest is very simple. Let’s go back to the product. We will do a synchronization with the connector. We will do a general synchronization. Alright, it’s done. Now let’s look at the special demo field we’ve created.

You can see the size and color have already been imported over here and of course if I update NetSuite panel again I can just try to resynchronize using this button. In addition to the customization field over here, we are also provided an additional customization module, we have prepared all the possible event triggers. In case you have more complicated logic of how you want to customize your field or how they are interacting with each other, your developer will be able to put in special access account ID or special schedule tax ID and things like this, and overall, such customization will provide great flexibility in transporting data in and out of Netsuite and Magento.

In general, such customizations are important for building configured products in Magento or matrix products in NetSuite. We will cover the details of building such products in a separate video. Next, let’s move to the last section. We will talk about system synchronization and maintenance. Let me close all the tabs. So over here in the admin panel, this is basically a rolling sync of the last execution time. By default, when you enable Cron job in Magento, lots of processes are being run in the backend just to synchronize all the product inventory, synchronize product prices, sending others to our NetSuite if it’s missing, providing the fulfillment invoice, and also refund from NetSuite into Magento, etc.

So by default. Most processes will run once per hour and the product inventory sync will run once per day. If you need to customize those, you can also go to the configuration file, where your developer can specify how often such processes should be running. Alright, this concludes our basic introduction about our NetSuite connector module. We will actually release more videos about more features about specific cases. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Anyhow, thank you for watching and see you next time.
