E-Commerce SEO Intern

SEO, which stands for search engine optimization, is the process of improving the visibility of a website on organic (“natural” or un-paid) search engine results by incorporating search engine friendly elements into a website. You may have noticed that one of the ways we incorporate these elements into our website is by using keywords that people are likely to search. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will assist with developing SEO strategies and executing them. Understanding of the client’s position and needs are critical to employ SEO best practices to support and grow their business and online ranking. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will also work with an experienced SEO Specialist and interface with writers, developers and project managers to provide solutions. You should be pleasant to work with and motivated to work on complex and challenging problems with the help of the entire team.


  1. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will support the SEO team to grow organic traffic for several websites
  2. Perform site assessment/audits to identify opportunities for site/on-page optimization
  3. Implement SEO strategies, both on-site and off-site
  4. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will review and implement content onto each website using their appropriate CMS
  5. Find links and eaxecute them (local directories, free directories, manual outreach, guest blogging)
  6. Internal link blog content
  7. Maintain/update weekly site metrics dashboards
  8. Competitive research (analysis and presentation of findings)
  9. Additional responsibilities as required for the E-Commerce SEO Intern


  1. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will have strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices (title and meta tagging, keyword research and usage, internal linking, etc.)
  2. Experience with off-page optimization, including directory submissions and organic link placement
  3. Experience with local search
  4. The E-Commerce SEO Intern will show awareness of current SEO industry trends
  5. Experience using industry standard analytics tools
  6. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  7. The E-Commerce SEO Intern must be able to strive and perform at a consistently high level in a demanding, fast-paced environment and display a can do attitude at all time
