E-Commerce Interaction Designer

Some examples of production-oriented responsibilities include: branding & content strategy, wireframes, design layouts, graphics, images and web-style guides to see project through HTML/CSS implementation. Some examples of intangible responsibilities for the E-Commerce Interaction Designer include: Inter-department structure, communication & workflow procedures, and everyday helping-your neighbor duties. Responsibilities:
- Ability to analyze and understand e-commerce and related business requirements
- Cultivating thought leadership with Creative & Art Directors for departmental efficiency
- Prioritizing & managing tasks to meet deadlines in anticipation of multiple project needs
- Organizing files and statuses to keep project teams on the same page
- The E-Commerce Interaction Designer should be able to creating designs for web site layouts, pages and images that fulfill strategic business objectives
- Executing front-end skinning of layouts, pages and images
- Executing additional page designs for website or microsite based on an already established look & feel
- Optimizing graphics for the web and providing assets & directions to developers that would allow for efficient implementation
- Quality assurance for successful implementation of design with Project Managers and Development Team
Requirements/Qualifications:
- At least 2 years in a digital agency environment – We may also consider other career paths, less-experienced or student applicants that demonstrate a certain work ethic & outstanding portfolio
- Advanced knowledge & experience in understanding interaction design, web sites, user experience, e commerce and the broad spectrum of the creative process
- Advanced knowledge & experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, etc)
- Advanced knowledge & experience in front end skinning of web and internet technology (HTML, CSS) (Must demonstrate skills backed by strong portfolio as well as in person)
- Working knowledge of file formats, image & file compression, file correction, specific uses and optimization techniques for web and print applications
- The E-Commerce Interaction Designer should have working knowledge of photography, image composition and retouching
- Self-motivated and team player to be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to details as well as the ability to liaise with various cross-functional teams & client to enforce deadlines & processes based on individual project needs
- The E-Commerce Interaction Designer should have experience with Magento e-Commerce, videography, motion graphics, product design, PHP, Javascript is a plus
