Hara Partners is a web design & development agency located in New York City. We are primarily focused on Magento eCommerce and we are currently seeking an Interaction Designer focused in web & UX to join our design team. We are looking for a great person with a good sense of visual hierarchy with front-end experience, but more importantly, a great person.
Front End Designer

Responsibilities:
- Understanding project scope, requirements, features and user experience
- Collaborating with design team to contribute technological expertise and capabilities
- Prioritizing & managing tasks to meet deadlines in anticipation of multiple project needs
- Organizing files and statuses to keep project teams on the same page
- Working with Designers & Back End Developers to build, test, debug and troubleshoot clean, web-standard compliant code that fulfill strategic business objectives
- Executing additional page designs for website or microsite based on an already established look & feel
- Cross-platform and browser optimization & compatibility (IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera)
- Taking ownership for successful implementation of design & functionalities with Project Managers, Design & Development team
Requirements/Qualifications:
- At least 2 years in a digital agency environment – We may also consider other career paths, less-experienced or student applicants that demonstrate a certain work ethic & outstanding portfolio
- Advanced knowledge & experience in understanding web technology, interactive design, web sites, user experience and eCommerce
- Advanced knowledge & experience with a proven track record in HTML5, CSS3, Wordpress
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc)
- Working knowledge of web and internet technology (HTML, CSS, Magento eCommerce)
- Optimizing graphics for the web and providing assets & directions to developers that would allow for efficient implementation
- Self-motivated and team player to be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to details as well as the ability to liaise with various cross-functional teams & client to enforce deadlines & processes based on individual project needs
- Experience with Magento e-Commerce, PHP, Javascript is a plus
