Work Flow

Here you can find all of our posts related to work flow.

Work flow refers to an orchestrated and repeatable pattern of business activity that is enabled by the systematic organization of resources into processes that transform materials, provide services, or process information. It can be depicted as a sequence of operations, declared as work of a person or group, an organization of staff, or one or more simple or complex mechanisms.

Workflow may be considered a view or representation of real work. The flow being described may refer to a document, service or product that is being transferred from one step to another. They may be viewed as a fundamental building block to be combined with other parts of an organization’s structure such as information technology, teams, projects, and hierarchies.

Work flow is important as an abstract means of explaining day-to-day processes. ERP, for example, is a business management software that a company can use to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities, including shopping and payment, inventory management, and marketing and sales.

There are many different kinds of workflow, including sequential workflow, which represents a procession of steps that execute in order until the last activity completes. However, the most important thing to remember about workflow is that it is designed to maximize efficiency usually in the form of step-by-step systematic processes. When you read our posts about work flow, please keep in mind the different methods that you see listed in our blog posts, as some of these pertain directly to our business. The Netsuite-Magento Connector, for instance, while a very unique and innovative solution, would be nothing but theory if we didn’t figure out a way to implement it for direct workplace purposes (ie. increasing productivity). This is the main thing that separates us from a company that talks the talk, but doesn’t offer that ‘workplace walk.’
