  • In Magento, to change the logo you simply have to specify a new URL path to the logo. If you want to place the logo in the same folder as the default one, you'll have to use cPanel's File Manager or FTP. Each logo is relative to the template you are using. If you change the theme on your website, you'll have to upload the new image.

    While this may sound complicated, it keeps the files and folders of Magento organized.

    1. With your FTP program (in this example we'll use FileZilla), go to the root folder of Magento
    2. Go to skin/frontend/default
    3. From here you'll need to select the template you are using. Currently we're using the "modern" template so we'll click on that folder
    4. Now, click on the images folder
    5. Select the logo file, and upload the file

    Now, that you have uploaded the image of your logo to Magento, we'll need to tell Magento where it is. Changing the file path or URL to your logo in Magento is easily accomplished in the Magento Admin backend.

    1. Log into your Magento Admin Panel
    2. Go to System ->> Configuration.
    3. Click on "Design" in the left side menu pane
    4. Open the "Header" section
    5. Change the file name in the "Logo Image Src" to the file name you just uplaoded. Leave theimages/prefix alone
    6. Click 'Save Config.'

    Now, when you visit your website, your new logo should be displayed in the upper left of the header of the page.

    By default, products with a ‘Stock Availability’ of ‘Out of Stock’ (OOS) are not displayed on category pages.  Though, they can be accessed directly via the products URL.

    You can change the default setting to display OOS products System > Configuration > Catalog > Display Out of Stock Products (change value to Yes).

    The difference between Googlebot optimization and regular search engine optimization is that Googlebot optimization is focused on how Google’s crawler accesses your site. A site's crawlability is the important first step to ensuring its searchability.

    What is Googlebot?

    Googlebot is Google’s search bot (also known as a spider) that crawls the web and creates an index. The amount of time that Googlebot gives to your site is called “crawl budget.” The greater a page’s authority, the more crawl budget it receives.

    Google’s Googlebot article says that  “Googlebot shouldn’t access your site more than once every few seconds on average.” In other words, your site is always being crawled, provided your site is accurately accepting crawlers. 

    Googlebot first accesses a site's robots.txt to find out the rules for crawling the site. Any pages that are disallowed will not be crawled or indexed. A robots.txt is essential is because it serves as a directive to the Googlebot. Googlebot will spend its crawl budget on any pages on your site. You need to tell the Googlebot where it should and shouldn’t expend crawl budget. If there are any pages or silos of your site that should not be crawled, please modify your robots.txt accordingly.

    The less Googlebot is spending time on unnecessary sections of your site, the more it can crawl and return the more important sections of your site.

    Content that is crawled more frequently is more likely to gain more traffic. Although pagerank is probably the main factor in crawl frequency, it’s likely that the pagerank becomes less important when compared with freshness factor of similarly ranked pages.

    It’s especially crucial for Googlebot optimization to get your low ranked pages crawled as often as possible. By using internal linking, you can also provide a map for Googlebot to follow as it crawls your site.

    In recent months, Walmart's shares have dropped 3.6%. In the last quarter of the year, Walmart e-Commerce has become the focus in the tough economy. Throughout the year, the company has redone their entire sales outlook.

    At the beginning of fiscal year 2015, the company planned to have 3%-5% revenue. In reality, they are scheduled to have 2%-3% revenue. Walmart has already planned down for fiscal year 2016 at 2%-4% revenue. A recent article shows how greatly the company has changed.

    Throughout the company's lifetime, they have had strong growth. With the economy changing, Walmart's revenue is hurting like many retail businesses. Consumers have become careful and more cautious in how they spend their money.

    Walmart depends on the low to middle class system for their top line sales. But, the lower and middle class now face challenges that make it harder to purchase goods. They have reduced food stamps, stagnate wages, rising gas prices, delayed income tax refunds, and high payroll taxes.


    Walmart e-Commerce is Financially Beneficial


    As a focus turns on Walmart e-Commerce, they plan to invest $1.2-$1.5 billion. In fiscal year 2015, they planned to spend around $0.8 billion, and actually spent around $1 billion. These investments will go toward building new distribution centers and added new technology.

    Walmart e-Commerce is planned to grow their revenue by 25% in fiscal year 2016. Between fiscal year 2016 and 2018, the company plans to grow by 30%-40%.

    Walmart invests in e-Commerce because it is a nessecity for maintaining growth in the business. With less resources, consumers are looking for the easiest way to buy whatever they need.

    The convince of online selling has become a trend for many companies. Instead of going into the store, consumers want the reliability, convince and ease of buying items in a few minutes. Walmart has relied too heavily on the fact that consumers will come into the store based on their name. Now, Walmart e-Commerce has to sell itself to the online consumer.
